ABOUT THE ARTIST

Art is my passion, and creating images brings me the most joy. I am grateful for any opportunity to share my work and wish that it might bring joy and meaning to the lives of others.

I was born Jeannine Krueger in Atlanta, went to school in North Carolina and New York City, and then landed in the San Francisco Bay Area, where I lived for several decades.  I now live on the Olympic peninsula in Washington State.   I have worked for many years as an architectural designer, which has given me the opportunity to bring my love of design and composition into the lived environment.  I live with my luthier husband Sean Chappell.

In my art, I often combine my images made on paper using watercolors, pencils, pastels, etc., with working in the computer, which allows me great freedom in creating the final work of art. I have developed a technique that uses my various talents and skills to create the images that I envision. The beauty of the natural world provides me with my main subjects.

My owl paintings have been featured in wall calendars by Pomegranate Communications, and my work appeared on the cover of the 2009 We'Moon Calendar and on the cover of the We'Moon 30 Year Anniversary Anthology.
